Great picture! But I wouldnt want him on me either! I like to take pictures of spider webs in the early morning when they have dw on them, such a work of art. Garden spiders make great webs.

I found a large leathery one in my washer. Made husband get him out. One came running across a closed box of church cookbooks in the living room, got to the edge and jumped. I screamed and pulled my feet up on the sofa. Husband ran for flyswatter. Not easy to find on our printed rug. Threw body outside as a warning to other spiders.

I went out into the garden last week and found one of these. They are huge but not dangerous. The web was covered with mist and was over 4 feet across. I had been going to cut down some of the cannas and dig them up but this thing was so beautiful I just had to leave it alone. I noticed yesterday that the web was completely destroyed and there is no sign of the spider this morning so I guess it is time to go back out and finish my project. Hope she had lots of babies so we can enjoy them next year. Ann in TN

I cant even go to sleep if i know there is a spider in my room I know that is stupid but that is just my weakness My dh has been woken up in the middle of the night to kill a wolf spider on more then one occasion.
Oh the same here...and when hubby worked 3rd shift..kids did the trick. To this day..my adult kids snicker about this. ha ha ha

If you can get by the ick factor, the webs are a work of art and garden spiders are very beneficial but that is not to say I wouldn't run a country mile if I saw one. :)

That thing gave me goose bumps. Isn't there anything you could spray it with to kill it. Ain't no way it'd stay living at my house.

Hasn't anyone read Charlotte's Web? I let them be. Just think of all the flying insects they rid us of.
