Did anyone check out Janome's new machine (12000) on Saturday 1 October?I did and was pretty impressed. Interested in what other people thought.

I have the 6600 and absolutely love it. I am considering upgrading to a 12000. If I do so, will sell my 6600 which I kinda don't want to do...I've learned SO much on it. I thought about the 7700 but want more embroidery so the 12000 fits my needs better.

I didn't go... other things to do. How much is it? I recently bought a Horizon, so I don't think I'll be getting one, but I'm curious.

It's going to give the Bernina 830 a run for it's money. Is the price range similar? I had an invite to the preview at my LQS but I didn't go. If my husband had not purchased an embroidery machine for me, and if I hadn't purchased the 6600 less than a year ago ... I'd consider it. But even then, not sure if I could justify the $$. I'm a practical spender. Most of the time :)

I just read on Facebook that the price is $12,200.00 which is more expensive than the 830. Can someone chime in who has been to their dealer?

Ouch! My (new to me) SUV didn't cost that much. I hope it can sing Dixie while it sews, for that much money.

That is the MSRP and most dealers have the option of working with it some. It was about $3000 less at the showing I attended. As much as I love Janome, I didn't see anything to make me trade my Babylock Ellisimo for it. Also it weighs 48 lbs! so the dealer was throwing in a Janome Gem 760 as a travel machine which I thought was awesome! I offered to take the Gem and let him keep the 12000 but he wouldn't go for it! LOL!

Oh, o.k! Thanks for the info. I bet it's an awesome machine. I still cherish my Janome 9000. It lives in the closet now, but we have shared many happy hours together.
