I have decided to make a snowball/9 patch combo for a queen. If i use 6 1/2 inch cut snow balls and 2 1/2 inch strips to make the 9 patch what size would I use for the corner on the snowballs ??
OR would I be better off using larger blocks since it will be a queen ??

I'm working on a quilt just like this, the corners are 2 1/2 inches and this quilt is taking forever!

I had no idea how many seams this would be.

Please show pics of yours and I'll show you mine!

I will post when its finished, I need a project to take to retreat and I thought this would be a good one since I can devote alot of time at once to getting it finished.

I made this baby quilt that may be increased to a queen size quilt.

I would stay with the size you have. You wont regret the visual. I've made a snowball with those block measurements but not a queen size. Heres the lap quilt I made that every one wanted, my bff now is the proud owner.

http://www.straw.com/quilting/articles/snowball1.html link for corner math

Blocks were finished 6". Used cut off corners for borders. This is an I Spy baby quilt.

I like the idea of the 6" blocks.

I have made one that has 9" finished 9 patch and snowball blocks, but the snowballs have family pictures in the centers. 9" is a lot of blank space, unless it is a print.
