This is a quilt my friend Jeanne put together (she's here somewhere on this forum). The blocks were made by her grandmother, I believe --- correct me Jeanne if I'm wrong. She ended up making 8 quilts with the blocks. I was able to snag one to quilt :) :) The firsts for me was 1) NO MARKING PENS. I've never done a quilt without marking --- so I was sweating that out. All freemotion - no computer! The second "first" was using wool batting. I like it, love the way it poofs, but discovered I'd break out in a rash every time I worked with it!!!! The third "first" was doing the feathered heart in the center. Need to work on those!!!! The quilt measures 67 x 67"!!

Awesome work Dee! So nice to see your freehand work. I still have to do registration marks and I don't like doing a feather of any sort without at least chalking out the spine.

Did you use Rhonda Byers rulers for the curved crosshatch?? Which ones do you have and how do you like them? Looking to order and can't decide which sizes to get.
