What era? Haha... In my younger yearsI was a banker (one of those despised internal auditors at the end of my banking career), then a stay-at-home mom of one amazing son.
Now I work part time as an elementary school RSP (resource specialist) Instructional Aide (some call it Paraprofessional). Since I can only find part time work I also moonlight as a private tutor. Working with children is definitely more emotionally rewarding than the banking career was, but the pay stinks!!

It is so nice hearing some from everyone that has/will posted. It's so true that everyone has done things that no one else has, because even if it's the same occupation, no one does theirs like you. If you were/are a stay at home woman/mom like my mom was/is, you have been a woman of all trades, and then some. You also may or may not have gained monetary rewards as a stay at home person, but I see looking back when raising my son at home that my rewards have been greater than anything else I have ever done.

Currently Assistant Supervisor of Transportation in a local school district, came up as a school bus driver, then driver trainer, lead trainer. Have also worked as a waitress, summer work 5 years in a cemetery trimming around grave stones then secretary in the office, construction work and house painter. My DH and I can build a house from the ground up.
