My camera battery died 1/4 of the way through the show, so I did not get nearly what I wanted, but here's a sample of Best in Show and mostly art quilts because that is my main interest. Hope you enjoy them. The photos do not do them justice!! All are winners as far as I'm concerned.

The AIDS quilt is an anonymous entrant from Africa. The silouettes are people that have passed on and the colorful ones are those still living with AIDS. This is a Chevron project and the group at the show was from San Ramon, CA.

This seems to be the year of 3D quilts with sombreros, wedding dresses, beads, tutus, toys and other embellishments. Amazing workmanship in each and every one of them.

Best in Show (sparkly w/ beading)

Wow! Thank you for sharing. The first quilt is what I want to do when I grow up.

Wow! I L-O-V-E-D the floral trapunto. And the skeleton ballerinas would be perfect for a friend of mine. Thanks for the photos.
