Does anyone own this E/S machine? I REcently purchased one. Any suggestions for some tips for learning to use it........I do not live near a dealer so that I can attend classes. I am excited to begin having fun and creating.

You can go to the Brother site and click on Sewing/Embroidery machines and get a lot of information. You can call/emmail them about a manual, also.
There are several embroidery groups which have great info on the basics of embroidery. Here are a couple: embroiderylibrary.com, Ann the Gran,
Good luck. Have lots of fun!

I just bought the Brother E400 and am getting used to it. Mine came with the embroidery attachment but I haven't used that yet, only have it 3 weeks. So far it has performed according to my expectations but I do want to get all the good out of it I can.
By the time I read all the instructions sheets and looked at the CD that came with it and the directions on threading it and winding the bobbin already printed on the machine, it didn't take me long to get it working.
I will read the directions every time I sit down by it but will value any tips you ladies send in. Made me very happy to see this machine on the board.

I recommend joining Sewforum too, they have topic sections just for embroidery. And if you would like ask any questions, send me a pm and I will help as much as I can. Have been embroidering longer than I've been quilting, about 9yrs longer!!!
