I really like her. Used to watch her on TV but dont get it anymore. Have you been to her shop in Paduca Ken. Its just down the street from the hotel where they hold AQS quilt show.

Golly, but now I feel like a grinch! I'm the only one among all of you lovely gals who feels differently about Eleanor Burns. I was just reading more of your replies and read where one gal refers to her presentation as 'sugary'. Maybe that's what I don't like. My head hangs low but it's still how I feel. Sorry! sniff, sniff.

I have not read her books but I have read other historical books of people (women mostly) from Tennessee and West Virginia and Virginia and their quilts!

I like her instructions but do not like her voice..I feel that she is talking down to me as if I were a 5 year old!!!

She is a great teacher and when I found my self standing by her in Paducah one night, she was a delight in person. I enjoy her techniques and her shows - funny.

I love Eleanor Burns and I have that book and several others of hers. Yes, it has inspired me. I have one quilt lined up to start after the holidays.

Eleanor Burns is the reason I quilt. Quilt in a Day after all is what I wanted to do!!!!!!!

Think that quilt took me months to complete and no one helped clean up my floor as I was quilting.

Think she's terrific.

I have enjoyed Eleanor Burns for years, she is so sweet and humble, i have many of her books, and love her log cabin books, and her techniques, she makes it look so very easy.

I love Eleanor! I met her last year at the Houston show and she is just as sweet and personable as she seems! I have made many of her quilts and her directions and tips are great!
