Mine love to do this too. But, my mama cat will eat any thread she finds so have to keep all loose threads clipped.

If you are handquilting, they are making it easier to use the needle. See, mommy, we have the hole already, just put the needle thru.

Boy can I relate! I was trying to hand sew the label on my son's quilt and their Jack Russell was right there helping! My cats do it too!
