A digital camera has settings for quality & size of pictures. If you are taking a picture of something just to put on your computer, and perhaps print out a small size such as 4x6, there is no need to have it on a high setting that would be needed if you were gonna print it out poster size. By changing it to a lower setting, they will upload to the board faster, and download faster for people who want to look at them. By changing the setting on the camera, you don't have to mess with resizing them. Check your manual, or google your camera model and find the manual online. You'll find that by adjusting this setting, you'll get a lot more pictures on your camera or memory card. I'll take PM questions on this if you need some assistance.

Hi Patti! Maybe you can help me with something. I've been trying to upload the exact same personalized signature from mylivesignatures, and I made it the smallest size there is and its way under the size guidelines for uploading here, and keep getting the message "cannot upload image". the file path posting in the upload box is in the exact same format as yours. How'd you do it?

Thanks for that info! I will certainly check my camera settings and do my best to follow those lines.

Thanks for the info. Checked my camera and it said it was in email mode so I think I'm ok.

Excellent tip...I'll try to remember to do that each time! If you forget to do it with your camera and have photo editing software, you can always resize it that way.

You mean for the ones that you took that are still on the camera? Guess it would depend on what program you have on your computer, some programs have a setting that asks you what size you want to download them as. Might even have a setting in some cameras that WOULD resize them in the camera, but I only have a $100 camera and know mine doesn't.

    also...
Microsoft Office Picture Manager is FAST when resizing pics... so if you cant figure out the camera thing, see if you have this program
