Retail Therapy - I feel better now!
#1
Since I was downsized last Friday, I've spent all week looking for a project that would spark my interest enough to get me out of the doldrums. Everything I looked at just seemed 'ok' but didn't really get me excited - so I decided to do some serious retail therapy with part of my severance (I refer to it as a fiber investment :D )
Some valentine fabrics, springy remnents and a wall hanging coffee kit from my LQS

Eleanor Burns book, scrap project book, a one block wonder book and a stained glass Brenda Henning book

Here's the rest! The Indian Peaks kit has won the honor of my out of the doldrums project - I saw it on the wall of my LQS and was still thinking about it several stores later, the sure sign of a winner
Think I should get busy sewing? LOL

Found some FQ's to go with my Cider Mill Road charm pack - love these colors

The big kits - 2 Pine Creek Crossing and one Indian Peaks that really got me excited

There's nothing quite like a shopping spree to put you back on the road to recovery, & what a lovely selection of books & fabrics you got too.
I have the Eleanor Burns book - she's wonderful. I just recently used her technique in the back of the book to mitre bindings on my quilts. Everything is explained so simplistically - which is what I need as I am new to quilting.
Can't wait to see what you make.

Awsome buys! Sometimes I just go into the store and feel all the fabric, makes me feel better. I feel my best when I am buying tho. I have to admit if I am having a bad day I will put my hand in the bag of fabric and stroke it on the way home! LOL
