Flat Stanley came to visit me last week. My granddaughter sent him and I have been busy showing Flat Stanley all the sights around here.
Although I made a book full of pictures and stories about his visit, I wanted something else to send home with him so made a quilt.

Don't know who Flat Stanley is? Find him with google.

Want to see some of the things Flat Stanley did? Here's a link to his photo album

just his size, a perfect fit

Flat Stanley went to see Graceland with me...and the Memphis Pyramid, and the Memphis Zoo. :D :D We had a lot of fun together, Flat Stanley and I. I wish I'd thought of the little quilt, what a great idea!

Had never heard of flat Stanley, what a neat idea. You did such a good job of making it a learning experience for your granddaughter, and I assume, her class. (I enjoyed it too.)

My daughter recently had her daughters write us letters to let them know we can communicate that way, not just by phone or computer. They are nearly 7 and can read cursive writing now. One wrote to me "I hope you are not dead before I see you next time." I guess she thinks Grandma is old!
