I love my Olympus that I purchased at Best Buy a few years ago. They threw in the leather case free! I paid @ $200 for it. I think any top brand camera is fine. Make sure you get the attachments if you are going to post pics on the internet (like here on QB).
It should have software and a plug in wire for your computer/camera.

For the price, simplicity, uses ordinary batteries and user friendly, a Kodak easy share. I am on my second one and it takes nice photos.

Whatever you buy, I highly suggest you purchase it at Best Buy and buy the extended warrenty. I have a Kodak model Z something or other and LOVE IT! I have had it replaced twice for FREE, well paid for the extended warrenty. It had to be replaced do to my carelessness. Once dropped it and once the led screen brought from being knocked around in my purse. Best Buy replaced it no questions asked! We always buy the extended warranty on things that are used and abused so to speak! But I do love my Kodak Z910 or something like that.

My small camera is an Olympus Stylus that I bought about 3 1/2 years ago. It takes great pictures and is easy to use.
