What is the difference between the Members only thrift shop and yard sale and the Items for Sale categories? I read the guidelines and they seem alike to me.

"Members Only Thrift Shop ..." is the title of the Main Section/Forum. Nothing new should be posted there except for administrative announcements, etc.

It's now divided into two sub-sections/forums which separate threads into Searching for and offered For Sale & Trade.
post or view in each of these sections according to your interest. (there are eligibility requirements for members who want to post ads offering to sell or trade.)

I see the sale & trade, but still haven`t found the yarn I need to buy. Is asking to buy some thing a no-no?
