The Monday before Thanksgiving, a new black/white stray showed up at my apartment. This new cat walked into my apartment like she owned the place! This was so much like how I came to know my 18 year old cat Pumpkin. I had sworn I wasn't going to adopt another cat until Pumpkin died because I know how territorial she is but...$200 later, the vet said (in a way) that I had a winner. Sassy, the new cat, was so well behaved for an outside stray that I asked the vet to check for a microchip (I know how I would feel if someone catnapped Pumpkin) but the new stray didn't have a chip or scars from being fixed. She is a year old. She doesn't have any parasites or infectious diseases. It is amazing to me that she is in such good shape and I believe that she may have been abandoned by another tenant who left her behind. No one that I have contacted admits to owning her. So...for Christmas, I got a new cat. So far, the two cats haven't killed each other. So far, the two cats haven't ganged up on me, either. May the season continue to be as purrfect for you as it has been for me. God Bless!

I think cats make the most wonderful gifts!!!! I have enough for now but I have such a passion for them. I'm afraid if I don't restrain myself, I will wind up on the news!!! Congrats on the new furbaby!

What a nice story and thank you for giving this little Christmas stranger a new home! I remember, been about 15 years ago now, on Halloween night, as I was answering the door for a group of trick or treaters, in walked a black and white cat. I thought perhaps she had followed the kids but no one took ownership of her. I posted a notice within the development about a lost cat, no on answered. Long story short, Spooky was the best cat I have ever had. Wishing you much luck with your little present.

I just adopted another cat "Lil Tommie Gale" from the animal shelter. After $250, He is just like having a newborn baby and his Brother Cat, "Baby Boy" and his Sister Dog, "LuLu" have welcomed him with opening paws.
