Default First Bargello--- Infinity

I bought Eileen Wright's" Twist and Turn Bargello" and just loved it. I had never done a Bargello before but wanted so much to try . I did the table runner first as a small project, then I did the Infinity. It looked rather daunting but once I got started it became a pleasure to do. I have never talked to myself so much in my life, but I found it helped me follow the instructions( thank you, Eileen, they were very clear). I have now seen the Blue Infinity posted by Lori L and I think it is stunning.I just wish I had seen it when I was collecting my fabrics together, her choice is wonderful. I would have been a bit braver over the choice of mine if I had.I found it difficult on how to quilt it. I only have a domestic machine and having done so much work on it I was afraid I might spoil it. I chickened out on the coloured part and just did stitch in the ditch. The black background I felt confident enough to free-motion stiple and although you can't see it on the photo, because I did it quite heavily, it makes the pattern stand out more.

What a lot of work you did - and it certainly paid off. I do love the color choices - the red one looks like flames with the gradation from yellow to dark red. Another one to add to my to-do list!
