Default 10 Blocks done in my Dotty Stars!!

So I now have 2 blues, 2 browns, 2 purples, 1 red, 1 pink, 1 yellow and 1 green. In laying them out on my bed today, I can see that I need 6 more stars and then an ample border!

This isn't final block placement... just laying them out on the bed to see how they look in general. I am going to do a random placement of the colors, instead of trying to do a rainbow color wash.

When I compare mine to the original in the magazine, mine looks too white and sterile.... The thing I didn't like about the original and that I changed, I'm now starting to second guess. LOL :\ But I'm more than half done and it is going to be this way for sure.

If you Google "Dotty Stars quilt" there are about 4 or 5 others to see... one of which is the original that was published in the magazine I'm working from. And then look at mine and you'll see why I think mine might be too white. Even tho they are all polka dot whites... still....

What do you all think?

I think yours looks great! If, when you are done, you still think it's too white - you could tea dye it. It would mute all the colors, but not be as bright white. I love it the way it is.

I like it. I think once it's finished and quilted, you'll love it more.
