Default Horse Block - more like a mini-quilt

It's been a long time since I had time to do any quilt-making, but this pattern has been waiting for me. Now seemed a good time to try it and see if I can still sew equal seams and cut straight pieces. At 22" square and well over 100 pieces, this pieced horse almost could be a mini-quilt. The full pattern uses five horse blocks for a full quilt, but I won't use this trial block. I might make it into a cushion. This is the first time I've made prairie points, too, so it was a great coming-back block!

Great job! Could you use it as a center block?

All the blocks in the quilt are horse blocks like this one - varied by colour, the direction the horse faces, and additions like the sun and bush (can also have a flower). I didn't really like the fabrics in this block, which is why I used it as a test. Now that it's done, maybe it's not so bad, but I wish I had chosen a different background.

I've got this pattern and it made a nice wallhanging. Yours came out very nice!
