Hi,

I've been lurking for a long time and am new to quilting. I am also a basset hound lover(I have 5) and I'm a long time volunteer for Tri-State Basset Hound Rescue in the NY, NJ, PA area. Hounds have slaves, they do not have owners hence my nickname. My friend Amanda and I are collaborating on a rag quilt to donate for this year's big fundraiser Pawction April 17. We have run short on the backing fabric for the border and are having trouble finding more. The fabric is black flannel with red paw prints. I think it was Timeless Treasures but I'm not absolutely certain. If any of you know where we might find some we would be very appreciative.

Have you tried going to Quiltshops.com and entering the term "paw prints" into their search engine? That is a great way to find particular fabrics and who has them for sale.

Actually, I did see Red flannel with black paw prints (and possibly other colors) at Joann stores recently.

That's where I originally bought it but the local JoAnn's don't have it and I don't see it online. I looked on quiltshops.com but don't see it there either.

I was at a the Glendale California Quilt show this weekend and saw paw print. I have also seen it at Jo Anns fabric. Have you done a google search? I know it is out there.
