Hi from Niagara, Ontario
#1
Thanks for letting me join. I have been quilting for just over 10 years, and consider myself an experienced beginner. I like to try new things, and rarely do things a second time. The exception was when I made memory lap quilts from my Mother's clothers after she passed away. I made 5 identical ones, with a smaller wall hanging for my brother in the nursing home.

Welcome to our wonderful and wacky family. If you enjoy trying new things then you might want to consider doing our block of the month. Twice each month a person gets to pick out a block for all of us to make. I think that you would really enjoy it. Also please share pictures of your work with us. We all love to see the beautiful things that others have done. Also if you have any questions just ask.

Thanks for the welcome. I used to sew and quilt in my basement, thus the dungeonquilter. My son moved back home, and I had to move back upstairs, into two cramped rooms. If he ever moves out again (he is 30), I will gladly move back to the basement, as I have ample lighting and space down there.

Welcome dungeonquilter. I'm glad you've joined us. I think it's wonderful that you put your mom's clothes to such good use. What a thoughtful thing for you to do! :) Jump right in, share your expertise, your pics, ideas, and just have fun.
