I am looking for a specific ruler. I have already been to Nancys Notions and looked. I forgot to ask the lady what brand this was. It is only about 24" long and on th top of the ruler it had an edge that was aprrox. 1# tall that you held on to when you cut. Does anyone know what one I am talking about? Or know where I can find a link that has this one.
I went to a quilt store in another town yesterday and forgot to look for it when I was there.

Is this what you are looking for? It is a Omni Edge ruler.

No I guess I should have mentioned it. It is not the lip edge one. I have one of those too. It kind of looks like an L shape. Your ruler is flat of course and then on the left hand side there is an edge that is approx.1" that the ladies where holding on to when they cut the fabric. This was all one piece but defineatly not a lip ruler. It might not be exactly close to the edge. Maybe in a little bit. I didn't really pay alot of attention to exactly what it looked like. After I got my fabric cut I went on looking for more and forgot about the ruler. Or to even ask what kind it was.

Some people attach a handle with suction cups that I've heard works well.

I'm sorry that I can't remember where (on the internet) that I saw this. I think there is another thread that had the website listed.

If I'm not mistaken, the "ledge" that you are talking about is a separate piece that you attach to the ruler. (This might help in your search).

I'll see if I can find the other thread.

I have what you are talking about, but it didn't come with the ruler. I have an omigrid 24 inches long and about an inch from the edge I attached a shield that I hold on to while cutting. I got it sepaately. I don't have the name of it but will call my local shop tomorrow to get the name.

There is something called a "safety shield for rotary cutter" that attaches to a ruler.

I googled that title and some things came up.
