I think I will go on the try bandwagon. I don't necessary have a stash just lots of fabric. And when I do my charity quilts they give me the fabric to create. I just need to start using some of my stuff to add to their stuff and try not to buy except the 3 B's. I also need to do more sewing of the projects for me that I have lined up as well as all the charity tops that I have done in the last year (37 for valiant warriors and 15 for the hospital group) but only 4 quilts that will be done by years end. I also need to start using the scraps from the charity groups that I have leftover and believe it or not they are sorted by group. (It is easy when one group only uses red/white/blue fabrics)

I am in. I just have to stay away from the stores. Girl Scouts honor (three fingers up) "I promise to use only fabric from my stash, and just buy batting and finishing materials" There its done. A whole year of not purchasing starter fabric, I can do it, I can do it. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. ok I will behave. (having withdrawal pains) LOL!

I'm sure gonna try! I've taken over the dining area, extra bedroom, my bedroom, closets and any place else I can stuff or hide....hubby doesnt complain but I feel guilty. I just cant resist those bargains...and this time of year it seems like everything is on sale. I did get the QuiltPro software for 1/2 price tho, so I'm preparing for next year.

I tried this for 2012 and managed to make a tiny dent. I will give it a try again in 2013. BUT, I need permission to purchase small amounts for scrub caps and stethoscope covers that I make for the local hospital. The income supports my habit LOL. I always use this up right away so not "adding" to the stash.

I am in. I sat down and figured out I can complete at least 36 projects with what I have on hand. That is like 3 years of sewing for me. I am not waiting until the new year, I am starting right now.

I too, like all other quilters have soooo many patterns, fabric and tons of ideas. The last 2 baby quilts I made, I decided to get some things off my bucket list. I made a black and white and red baby quilt, using the Yellow Brick Road Pattern, did crosshatching quilting and pulled everything from my stash. Bam! 3 things off my bucket list. The 2nd one, I wanted to do on-point blocks and used everything from my stash. Ta Dah! 4 things off my bucket list in less than a month!

Ok .. I am all in on this. I saw this post when it fist was posted for this year.. and thought naw.. not this year .. and after last year when fell off the wagon hard .. thought why set my self up. Last night had a real reality check.. went to look for a fabric I know I had.. spent hours searching.. made a huge mess.. and after searching all the faric stacks .. realized I need/must focus on "output" not "input".

I have been doing this for the past couple of years and yet the stash seems to grow. I have to live to be at least 900 - LOL - to use all of my stuff and yet I only purchase with necessity. I even piece the backs using squares and strips. I give stuff away to friends and still have too much fabric. And I make about 30 - 40 quilts a year, most given away to charities.
