I bought one when I was having bobbin winding problems. It did the job nicely. I got the problems fixed and gave it away. I don't have space for anything I don't need.

I love mine, it is easier for me to use. (I only have one sewing machine), so if I need a quick color change...there it is. Plus it is less wear and tear on your machine. It also loads more thread than my machine.

I have one and just dug it out of the box to Goodwill to give it one more try. I have several machines - all have built-in bobbin winders so while I am working on one, one of the other machines is usually available. I do remember mine seemed incredibly noisy. After reading some posts here, I'll go back one more time and give it a try. I use a lot of pre-wounds and love those but of course there are times when you simply must match the thread. :-)

NOPE for me, but my mom use's it all the time. I don't think it winds tight enough, when I 've tried, it was a loose mess. Can't stand them.

I bought one to use when the bobbin winder on my machine was not working (it's since been fixed) and it was "ok". It does not work very well with large spools of thread though. I now use my Pfaff 1209 to wind bobbins, so that I don't have to unthread the Pfaff 2034 which makes it handy. The side winder now sits in a drawer and does not get used. I probably would not recommend it.

I use mine all the time. It isn't very expensive and it works. You might want to buy one for yourself and see if you like it. Happy Holidays!

I use mine all the time. My machine does a better job but I don't want to unthread it to wind bobbins.
