Lucky! The last time we got snow for Christmas, it was a mixed blessing - loved having the gorgeous snow, but it messed up my in-laws' travel plans, so we ended up celebrating alone.

We may get some too here in New York.

Many years ago when we were stationed in San Antonio, TX we got a dusting of snow. It was exciting.

I am too far south (Central Tx).....no snow for us. I do remember it snowing when I was a kid. We used to slid down a short hill covered in snow riding on broken down cardboard boxes. That was poor tx kids version of snow sleds. It was a blast. Don't really remember when it stopped snowing as much here....guess it was so gradual we didn't realize it was happening. Now it is rare. I do remember it lightly snowing on Easter Sunday a few years ago. I thought....hmmm...maybe if it is possible for snow today....I can win the lottery. Well, it snowed, but I did not win big.....

We had snow all day yesterday and it is forcasted for today and Christmas. It is beautiful but we are driving to Portland over the Santiam pass on Christmas morning. Should be fun.
