Designer and author Darcy Ashton has some very cute applique books on her website. There are also several free patterns and project ideas. Check it out--Especially those of you who collect cat and dog patterns!

I ordered both her Claire's Cats books last Saturday and they arrived in the mail on Wednesday. Wonderful prompt service--and Darcy had autographed the books, too! I collect cat patterns. Don't know how I missed finding these books in the past, but I'm glad I have them now.

I think the fractures quilt looks interesting. One of the cat pattern books (Volume 2) shows how it's done, and it looks fabulous using Oriental fabric with a Siamese cat appliqued on it. I'm getting so many ideas from these books I don't know where I'll find the time!

Those cats looked decidely familiar. I am sure they are the same ones I started cross stitching a good few years ago, and it got lost when I moved to Ireland. Does anyone know if there was a cross stitch version?

Joykey, do you gave a favorite breed of dog?

Lacelady, I have not seen the cats in cross stitch anywhere on the website. The cat books are all applique patterns, and there are embroidery instructions too.
