Default batik later cake

Got a great deal on a couple of beautiful Tonga Treats batik layer cakes in a clearance bin (lollipop, lemongrass and sugarplum)...I have found a few pattern but none that really sing to me with a batik. Has anyone made one they really loved?

The one I did that I really like is called Island Chain. Will attach picture in a minute.

Hopefully here is the picture. I used jelly roll strips for this one.

Think I should have switched a couple of the colors around but it was all stitched together before I saw that.

That quilt is beautiful, Mom-6. Jenny Doan's Big Star quilt would look good with batiks. Find it on youtube.

How about a French Braid? I was playing in EQ5 recently and what came up was striking.

I recently made a quilt for my king size bed from batiks....used layer cakes and made my own. Had a total of 137 different fabrics....I double cut the squares for the design. I love it...... bright, easy and quick. So if looking for something quick and easy try double cut. Don't know how to post pic but bet you can find one on the board.

Here is one that i am making with green tea batik jelly roll. I would look at the layer cake books, they have loads of great patterns.

Cakewalk is a good one. It used one layer cake and 1/2 of a charm pack. It goes together really quick.
