Default memory quilt

This quilt is for a friend at church who lost her daughter to MS. She gave me her pajamas to make a quilt for her. I usually make rag quilts for memory quilts but pajamas would not work for a rag quilt. It literally took me a year to figure out what to do with the pajamas. I wanted the quilt to be feminine, floral, and beautiful. After doodling many things, I chose dresden plate. I only purchased white & green fabric for the front and floral for the back. Everything thing else was from her pajamas. It came out much better than I could imagine. My friend absolutely loved it. It does my heart good when I can do something to comfort someone who has lost a loved one.

Leslie you have given your friend a quilt she can hug whenever she is thinking of her DD! The quilt is beautiful and the fabric you chose to highlight the flannels is the perfect color. Bless you for your wonderful kindness and thoughtfullness!

It really is beautiful. I love your entire quilt design with the plates off set by two borders. Again....beautiful!
