    Default Treasures

Went to an estate sale Monday. All that was for sale that day was quilting fabrics and supplies. Among all the rooms full of fabric there were LOTS of Thimbleberries fabrics in 4 and 5 yard cuts which I couldn't resist. But the best treasure of all was a little flat cardboard box with pieces for a Dresden Plate quilt. The cardboard pattern was in the bottom of the box and enough pieces, pinned together in stacks of 18 to make 22 Dresden Plate blocks. It is all what appears to be original 30s fabrics, hardly any two alike! I nearly fainted when I saw the price..........$3....!!! What a treasure!!!!

You are so lucky to have found that. Show it to us when you have it made.

I'm smiling for you and for the person who cut out all those pieces. They have a new home that cherishes them. Please post pictures.

I'm going to a yard sale tomorrow morning that advertised "quilting stuff". Hope I'll be half as lucky. Congratulations on your find!
