Hi all,
I've just gotten back into sewing/quilting/embroidering after an illness that took a couple of years of my time. DH bought me a TOL sewing machine which intimidates the heck out of me. I also have a featherweight (1952) and a Pfaff about 15 years old. I've done a lot of embroidery and have always been interested in quilting but didn't think I had the ability. Anyway, I'm going to give it a shot and am thankful to have found this board.

Hi You are never too old to start quilting, I started about 12 years ago and love it, love it. I may not make perfect quilts, but they sure do make me happy when I finish it. At that time, I didn't even know how to make a bobbin, so I really was a newbie.I also love embroidery. Have fun.

Howdy from Oklahoma! Welcome to the Board. I keep my small "learning quilts" to practice quilting the quilt before I do an important quilt for more uniform handstitching & when I'm done I have a quilt & a wall hanging, that's my tip of the day. Newbie myself (19 months!) and still so much to learn. So glad you've joined.
