And I was told that this is the last year that they will have a show in Long Beach. They are moving this show to Portland, OR. At least that is what I understand.

Yes the show is moving to Portland-this is the last show this year. Attendance has been poor for the last few years

Hmm it was full last year. I think we went Friday. I am so sorry to hear. I know attendance is bad at the San Diego show.

Sorry to see it go, from California. Must admit, I don't have the money to do all the fabulous shows & quilting events in Calif. I'm sure it's way expensive in Long Beach at the beach in the height of the tourist season to put on this show. When we were involved in Showing Rabbits, it was hard to get participation anywhere in the Pacific coast states from anywhere else in the US. There's only 3 states + Alaska and Hawaii, on this coast but its about 1500 miles. It's probably due to the cost of jumping from Colorado to California, plane changes OR time of traveling (about 22 hour by car from Denver or 26 hrs from Seattle). Hope it can make it in Portland, it'll be competing with some very popular venues in Oregon and Washington.

I would be very sad to see the LB quilt show leave.
