I have wide plantation blinds and a valance. I keep them closed in the morning to block out the morning sun and then it is perfect in there the rest of the day.

I have Plantation shutters in my sewing room. I love folding them back so that I have an unobstructive view of the out doors. They do attract lots of lint though. I am always having to dust them.

White blinds and a valance on two windows...one faces east and the other faces south, so there's good light all day. :-)

I have blinds and cream colored lace curtains. I don't have alot of dust, but I vacuum in there every week.

I have blinds in my whole house - no curtains.

Because we don't have any neighbors close and we are so far back off the road curtains aren't a necessity at my house. What I do have is valences that I make from vintage embroidered pillowcases or table clothes. Love the look, they iron crisp and don't block the natural light from the windows.

I have two windows but both are different sizes. In the larger window I have a white shade. On the higher up. longer width window I have a cute curtain of applique dresses on dress forms that originally started out as a wall hanging. I like it so much I use it as a curtain. You can take a peek of it in my profile under "my quilts" on the second row last picture of that row.

I don't know how to pot pictures but I only have a valance and it is a print patchwork I bought at Hobby Lobby (I think). Then I have a shade behind it to keep out the heat from the sun.

I have a valance & side panels that match the bed comforter as well as off white sheers. With the sheers, I don't need blinds & it makes the front of my house look nice from the street view. I vacumn my drapes & sheers on a regular basis.
