I have had mine for about two months now and I love it! It has a ball system for the embroidery mechanism. Its the only machine from what Ive been told that has this new design. It works great! Smooth and is quiet to. I have just begun to learn the embroidery part with hoops. I bought local so I could get the unlimited lessens. I may need it! LOL.

Now that the 15000 is out, my dealer says that he has lots of 12000's in stock from trade ins
comparing the 12000 to the 8900 is a $7,000 difference (msrp). Of course there will be differences.

I bought my 9900 today. I just finished setting it up and I played with some decorative stiches. I will write up a review later after I have sewn on it more but coming from my janome 9700 to the 9900 is wonderful! My dealer explained a lot of the highlights. I feel right at home with it so far. It also fits into my table nicely.

i even signed up for my first class! I have not taken a sewing class since high school with the exception of the 2-3 classes I took to learn how to piece a quilt top. I usually figure techniques out on my own and from reading this Board and others. The class will teach techniques that I have not attempted. It starts in 2014. Should be fun!

I have the Horizon 7700 with the clunky Acufeed and the 11000SE and I am trading in my 11000SE to get the 15000 with the new easier to attach Acufeed. I love my Horizon alot but I use the Acufeed with almost everything and it is a pain to have to unscrew it every time.
