I was inspired to make a quilt along with the Blue and White Swap that was going on.
I used only what was in my stash...
It was great fun and I was pleased with my results so I enlisted Shelly to quilt it for me.
She did a wonderful job, leading a newbie to pro. long arm quilting...I had no idea what/how to quilt it nor to the backing and batting...
She was a tremendous help and worth every penny...Now to send her some more...and I need to get busy.
It is such a relief to be able to make a top, then send it out to be quilted because I hate the cutting and quilting (I only have a regular machine and don't think I could ever do this).
I like to pick a pattern, shop for the fabric and sew away...
I love this quilt.
Thanks Shelly.
Kirsten

Kirsten, that is really beautiful! You did a wonderful job on that, and I really love the different shades of blue. Wow, that quilting is something! I keep telling my husband that we need to win the lotto so I can buy a long arm machine. Great work, Kirsten.

That is a fine quilt!
Quite clever about the centers of the stars.
I am so glad you found someone who could help you with that.
Thank you for sharing.
Blue is my favorite color! I could look at your quilt a LOOONNNGG time and be very happy <g>
