    I can't thank you enough for sharing your quilt with us...it's absolutely beautiful. I am fairly new to quilting and am in the process of making the quilt as you go vest which is really easy and fun. Now with your idea, I will start making squares for a quilt also. The beauty is that it's all quilted when the squares finally get sewn together. I love the Gourmet Quilter videos also...she is great. I love this Newsletter!!!

    I looked at several ways to do QAYG but all involved some hand sewing. Then I found the Gourmet Quilter videos and tried her method on a "test" piece. No hand sewing! I am very pleased with the results and will now use it for a large quilt. The only change I made was to add a line of edge stitching to the other side of the sashings so both sides are top stitched.

    Beautiful work! I have a WIP that I hope to machine quilt in strips before I sew the strips together. Probably not exactly the same as QAYG, but done in sections.
