Default Texas Flag Quilt

Hi there here is my sescond Quilt that i have made for someone other than myself of my family my hubbys co-worker asked if i could make him a Texas Flag Quilt i have it all sewn and Quilted now to do the binding. i was wondering do you usually wash the quilt before giving it to the person that is really how i like the viewing of the quilt after it is washed i can see all the cosiness. I hope he Will Like it.

beautiful. I usually wash it to get all the oils and dirt that's collected from my hands. I love the coziness of it too.

I always wash, then I know my seams will hold, find any loose threads, get rid of any dust or things that may have been picked up by quilt as I have carried it to and from machine.

Great quilt and star quilting! I would test my scraps for colour fastness before washing. It will give you an idea on how to proceed.

I thought of that, i did pre wash the material prior to sewing, So i am in hopes that it will not Bleed into my White but i did not see any red in the water when i washed it ?

I forgot to say that the Quilt is reversable the back side is the same as the front. and i used a Grove board for the star quilting, on my crown jewel.

The quilt looks great! I always wash before gifting, just to make sure nothing funny will happen to the quilt.
