Default looking for inspiration... any ideas??

I wanted to make a quilt for my great niece.. I love these fabrics but I have not been able to get inspired to come up with a plan. Does anyone have any ideas of what pattern would work with these fabrics? I am not against adding more fabrics in, but I wanted to keep it simple ... something that would go together quick for a Christmas gift. Any thoughts????

Why not cut squares (4"?) of the kid fabric and then 1" borders around each? You could alternate blue and red around the squares. That would be simple and cute.

I made my sis in law a quilt with these fabrics, I thought one of the little girls looked like her when she was small. I did applique boot blocks and tilted blocks with the cowgirl in the center surrounded by the red and blue, she loved it and although I've made her others that one is still her favorite.

It's a very cute print but its busy so I'd keep it simple.

I'd frame it simply, and maybe alternate with pinwheels, because they feel like they come from the same era as the images.

The image here shows a multicolored quilt, but you could do something like it with a much calmer and more limited set of colours, perhaps adding two more to what you have. http://www.craftsy.com/blog/2013/05/pinwheel-quilts/
