A short story about one of the QB members

You are so right about there being VERY generous people on the board. I didn't forget that you sent me scraps when I didn't have a stash to choose from. I also was able to get from Dotty quilts to give out to people that were affected from the Sandy storm. Even though I haven't made any quilts to donate, I was able to support the shipment of the quilts. I guess quilters are a rare breed.. Hope it grows!!!

I am sure that there are a lot of quilters on this board who quilt for different areas where there is a need. My hat is off to all of you. The GA Chapter of Quilts for Kids was organized here in my hometown only 4 years ago. There were quilters in other states who joined us also. Together we have donated over 1000 quilts to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. If you do not have a chapter near you, then you can join one like us. We also sent quilts to Japan after the tsunami and to North Ga. after a tornado. There were many ladies that went through that storm that quilted for our group and a favorite Quilt shop that didn't make it. God bless every one of you who quilt for a cause, and those who give your support. ISN'T THIS A GREAT PLACE.

I too make a lot of Quilts for Kids. It is so much fun to work with the different fabrics and wild colors. However, I have been having a problem in finding where to send them. I used to send them to Wisconsin but she does not do this anymore. Does anyone know of a spot in Illinois that is still doing Quilts for Kids? I can't seem to find one.
