    Default Visiting Nashville, and Galtinburg

Hi anyone fron the Nashville area. I'm planning a trip to Nashville next spring and I'm wondering about the weather in April. Is it warm enough to go without jackets but not so hot you don't want to be outside? Do you have a quit shop that I should visit? And other then the usual Grand Old Opry ,Ryman Museums so you know of any little known things we could do. We also would like to do white water rafting and a zip line in the Gatlinburg area. Can you help me out with my vacation?
    Thanks,
    ***Pam***

If you're a real country music fan, as I am, plan to spend several hours at the Country Music Hall of Fame. There's so much to see there. The Ryman is a great piece of Country Music History and of course, you'll want to go to the Grand Old Opry. I got my tickets for that in advance. I didn't find any quilt shops but I was there 8 yrs ago. Enjoy!

I second this idea! We visited the CM Hall of Fame last summer - not CM fans - but the museum was great. Also went to "Studio B", which is where Elvis Presley recorded most of his music.

We only stayed in Nashville for a day, and those two things filled it up.

Gatlinberg was a tourist trap, no doubt about that, but was fun just the same. Again, we only spent a day. Mellow Mushroom (I think that's the name of the place.) had good pizza.

We drove through Nashville in October, and I remember a flier for a Quilt Shop to the southwest of Nashville, it sounded pretty big. I also saw a flier for the Johnny Cash Museum, thats on my list for the next time we are in the area.
