I just delivered this quilt to my DF, Shirley. We started it together a couple years ago, making the main blocks then got toether a year later to cut and sew the picket fence. I then took it home to do the quilting. I did SID around the squares and pickets then free motioned around the clouds and hand-stitched around the tulips and in the large plain squares. She and her DH seemed to love it when they saw the finished product. She has never done any quilting before.

That is just stunning, and I love the picket fence!!
What a great story that you and your friend worked on it together. I'm sure she will treasure it!!!

WOW! I can't think of the right words to describe how impressive that quilt is. My four sisters have started an annual quilt retreat and we have been thinking about making a group quilt. Can you tell me more about the pattern - where to find it, designer, etc. Please? Thank you - and great job!!!!!!!!!
