Default Finished chunky quarter top

I just finished putting the last border on. I didn't buy enough backing fabric, I miscalculated by 2 1/2 yards. I ordered it online cuz we have a winter snow storm coming. I will try to load pictures. The first one is the completed top. The second is with the purple backing. The binding will be the same as the second border.

Nice work.. Where did you get the pattern? I need to make 2 before Christmas and that looks like a winner.

The pattern came with the kit but you really shouldn't need one. 16 fat quarters large-scale and small-scale prints. Cut 8 FQ into four 8 1/2" squares. Cut the other 8 FQ into four strips 4 1/2" x 18". Sew two strips together and cut into two 8 1/2" blocks. You should have 32 8 1/2" squares and 32 8 1/2" pieced blocks. Alternate squares and blocks. It should be 64 x 64. I added borders to mine that weren't in the pattern. This was pretty easy for me being my 3rd quilt.

Janine Thanks. If I can ever do you a favor let me know. FYI The Crayon Box is easy peasy.
