Default Rejected quilt blocks find new purpose

On Fridays I meet with friends and make quilts for charity at a local church. 3 or 4 years ago I made a number of blocks that I was going to put together into a quilt for the church, but for some reason the ladies didn't think the church could use it. Discouraged about the project, I put them aside. So the blocks sat.
A couple of months ago I gave them to a friend in my guild (our own Orphan Block Queen) and asked her to make something of them. Here is the photo before it was quilted. She made all the blocks fit together with the little blue squares just beautifully! I hope that we will donate it to a non-profit to use for a fundraiser.
I just LOVE how the palms and the willow tree came out!

That is a beautiful quilt. She sure knows how to put things together. Your blocks are terrific.

It takes real talent to make a pretty top out of orphan blocks. She nailed it!

She really worked MAGIC with your beautiful block.

The blue makes it really beautiful.
