Anyone have a older embroidery machine? Or The Amazing Box
My first post. I have a Babylock esante embroidery machine it is about 10 years old and used pes cards. I don't have many cards and I did have the amazing box for getting some designs from the internet but the computer disk is missing. I would like to know if I do get a disk, (have emailed the company) do you think i will be able to get any designs from the internet? Or should I just get a modern machine.

I still use my amazing box for viewing my designs mostly, the cards I had no longer work, guess I wore them out..LOL...I have a Brother 1500 and a 2500 that hook up to the computer so I just transfer from computer to machine after I find what I want to embroider.

I would think you can contact baby lock and they can give you some info to help. I would check ebay also. I think a modern machine would be nice, if you do a lot of embroidery. I have a Janome 9500 MC and I get my designs from the internet mainly and use the CF card.

Yes, you would be able to buy designs from the internet and use with your Amazing Box. Most independent designers offer designs in whatever format you need. Most commercial designers sell them on CD's that have all formats on them. You just load them onto your computer and then onto whatever medium you use to get them into your machine. I have an older Brother 2002D that uses cards or 5 1/4 floppy discs and I have no issues finding designs at all.

I bought a used esante and bought card writer and card and have had no problem. However you need to be careful of the size (megabytes) of the card as the machine can't read the really large capacity cards. I have bought designs on the web and also have gotten some free on the web.
