    Default The Grinch by Charisma

Well I was EXCITED when this fabric came out. I first learned about it on the QB. Someone had posted a picture of the kit and a link where we could pre-order. That was several years ago. It sometimes takes me awhile to get around to my own quilts. Just like all of us. So I pieced it last summer....( i made another different one as well a few months back). My family has a history with The Grinch that is very close to our hearts.
I had this great idea on how I wanted to quilt this quilt....and it was to quilt the story from the book onto quilt. It was slow going...but I finished! YAY! I got to the end of the story and ran out of room...but I was actually happy about it because it was my favorite part. I typed the rest of the story onto a label along with a picture of my kids with the Grinch in 2008. My (now) teenagers love this quilt. It's one of the few times that they would check my progress on a quilt and also make sure several times that we will be keeping this one. I used a flannel backing and we will be using it year round...because it is just to happy for us not to. I love memory quilt!
Thanks for looking! I hope you all have a great day!

Very very nice! We also like Dr. Seuss and this story! We don't have any special memories with it, though. You did a fantastic job on that quilting and I understand why you'd leave it out all year!

Quilting the story on the quilt is just brilliant, Charisma! I can see why your family loves it.
