How would you decorate/quilt/emblish this butterflywall hanging? I like to colors (except maybe the purple border- but too late) but the butterfly seems a little plain. It is applicaid on using wonder -all (?).

I would start off with the antennae. You could hand embroider with gold yellow thread. That wouldn't be hard at all to do. At very tip stitch a bead on each antennae. Instead of nine patches you could try a some small hexies for a floral effect. That's all I got. Sorry!

If I wanted more detail on the butterfly, I would add some thread painting/quilting.

You could use metallic thread in your machine and a decorative stitch (such as a feather stitch) to add sparkle to all the wing parts.

I'm into beading with tiny sead beads, so i'd give it the bead treatment and use metallic thread to quilt with

My first thought is beads where ever you like. also as someone else said, shiny thread would give it a boost too.
