    Default Finished - Deer in the Forest
    A few asked to see the final piece so I beg the indulgence of the rest of you patient ladies.
    The sky was micro quilted with invisible thread, The trees embroidered with snow and "drifts" put in place with a few lines of stitching. I wrestled with trying to put the feet of the deer in the snow but was not happy with anything I tried so I made do with a few drag trails behind her hooves. I was going to change her to a stag but my husband said" Enough pictures are made of stags."
    The border is a flanged edging of black and grey 1/4 ". Final dimensions are 22.5" x 36 ".
    I'm calling this "Calm After The Storm".

    They say "A pictures is worth a thousand words" but I can't think of one that perfectly describes this quilt. I love it.

    You are an artist with a sewing machine instead of oils and a brush. Amazing doesn't even come close to describing this hanging.
