Hello all
Hello all. Name is Mike. I'm a retired Navy Chief Petty Officer living here in Texas. I was working for a chemical company here and had a stroke at the end of May. Took up quilting when I got out of the hospital and completed my first quilt, joined the local guild and use my sewing as a type of therepy. Hope to be productive here. Best to all.

Glad to have you join in the fun! There are amazing people on this site who will work and work with you to help you learn a new skill, figure out how to clean your old Singer, give you color advice (badly needed in my case!), and much more. Tell us what's up and ask for our help!

Welcome Neighbor! I'm a stroke survivor myself. I had finished my second quilt top when I had the stroke, so my goal for rehab was hand quilting that quilt.I did fairly well but had to do a bit of finishing up by tying. The rest is history. You have really chosen an interesting and satisfying hobby! And coming here will prove to be a wise choice as well.
