Default I've joined the club

I never thought I'd become one those people but I did. I put a machine needle through my finger. How in the world I managed to miss the nail I can only say was a blessing.

I feel your pain. I joined the club a year ago when I sliced off a chunk of my finger when rotary cutting. It was definitely a wake up call for me.

Been there and done that. Okay, pity party is over - Kiss it, make it better and keep on sewing.

Take care - hope it doesn't hurt for long. :=)

Ouch! So sorry you joined. I've done both: needle through the finger and sliced a bit of finger off with the rotary cutter. Now I use a Slidelock ruler. Learning the hard way here....

Yeah, me, too! Mine really still looks nasty and it's been a week. I guess I should have gone to the ER and had it stitched. I just hate to sit there in the waiting room -- It seems that people behave the absolute worst in that waiting room! The rotary cutter I've got -- I just bought it new, so it's doggone sharp! I haven't been doing any sewing for the past week and the typing (at work) is sort of like "hunt and peck". I really cut mine deep, though. It is healing -- just not as fast as I would like! Yeah, learning the hard way is right!

Hope your finger heals quickly!

Ouch, I too joined the club this spring. Have been sewing for 55 years and this was one of those moments.

Oh ouch! Sorry you had to join the club!

I got my membership when I was about 8 and put a needle through my finger. I betcha I screeched a lot louder than you did! Oh the drama... LOL

It sure does make you cautious though! It's been 31 years since then and so far I haven't repeated that particular mistake. *knock on wood* I've skimmed a few layers of skin off with a rotary and caught a fingernail a time or two but so far nothing deep enough to bleed...that mistake is still waiting for me apparently!
