Default Brother PQ 1500s thread cutter cuts bobbin thread too short.

I just bought my 1500s and threaded it the first time today. When I use the thread cutter it cuts the bobbin thread so short that I have to rethread the bottom. It is threaded right, I checked. I only used one hole in the 3 hole guide, so that wasn't it. What else could it be? Can somebody help a girl out?

The bobbin thread will not show after cutting if that is what you are looking for. If it is coming unthreaded from the bobbin case, be sure the bobbin in unwinding in the right direction and you are threading it through the cutter guide. Many here have this machine so I'm sure someone has the answer.

Forgot to say be sure the needle down is on before using the auto cutter.

The bobbin thread doesn't show but it is there fine. I use leader and ender fabric with my piecing. It just picks the bobbin thread up even though it is short.

I agree with the others - this is normal. Is there a problem when you start to sew after using the thread cutter?
