Default Black and white and Red Musical Quilt

The quilt pattern came from 'Loose Change' by Claudia Platt and LeAnn Weaver. The name of the pattern is 'Scott's Surprise' by LeAnn Weaver. I made this quilt which is called 'Katie's quilt' because Katie is my DGD who turns 18 years old next week and she is First Chair in Flute at her school whose school colors are black and red. I changed the border because it works better with the quilt and also changed how they did the black, white and red. I made the quilt much bigger too, so big DH could not hold it up for a picture. This is a very easy pattern and the top went together faster than it took to cut the fabric. Each block is different as I took a year to buy fat quarters that were all musical but different.

I love the feeling when all the bits and pieces I collect come together! Very pretty quilt.
