Incredible machine! I learned to quilt on a Viking embroidery machine (not mine) so I understand a lot of features. I have a Babylock Medlody, which meets my quilting needs!

I have the Babylock Elegante II and I love it. If the Destiny is $1500.00 it is to pricey for me. I started with a Elimiso that had the embroidery feature for $800.00 on sale and moved up to the Elegante II for $3600.00 on sale and was only given $500.00 for the Elimiso on trade in. All sewing machines are too expensive. When I saw the price on a Bernina I went to Babylock because it was cheaper but I love it. Never had any problems. Would like the larger throat for quilting but not to spend so much $$ for it.

I just got my Janome Horizon a year ago and still haven't learned all the stitches. I also have a 780D Brother embroidery machine. I am 68 now and I and happy with what I have. Thank goodness. lol

I can't believe you paid $800.00 for an Ellisimo. They are $8900.00 at my dealer. The newer Ellisimo Plus is on sale for $7900.00 because the new Destiny is coming out. Not calling you a liar but was that a miss print?

Linda, I am with you. I have one of the first Ellageo's (still putting embroidery designs on a floppy disk when I want the larger hoop) . I bought a Babylock Sofia 2years ago to have a small machine to take to club or travel (then our sewing group broke up!) . Last year I was looking at a newer Babylock (about $8,000) - but decided what I need instead of a newer fancy machine is another sewing group near me to motivate me and MORE TIME to use what I have!

i'm questioning the design of the demo handbag, in general. after going to all the trouble of embroidering the fabulous designs on the white fabric, it seems to me that someone ought to have looked critically at a design that looks like someone pulled a pair of underwear on a black handbag... sorry. that was what my eyes first saw!

It looks great, but when I bought my Viking Designer years ago, I figured it would last me to retirement and beyond. Just Semi-retired now, and it's still going strong, I downloaded some new embroidery designs tonight and I'm still happy!

I've had expensive machine and cheap. I like my brother confidence quiltr.
More stitches thani'll ever use, and i do crazy quilting. For what i paid, if i drop it, iwon't feel guilty. Beside,si can't lift anything more than 10 lbs.
Oh, my Kia Rio was only 14,000 brand spankin new. At least i can get out of the rain in it.
